The new features that are available with the new Tata Safari includes Split grille and badges on them, body colored bumpers and new hard covers for the spare tires are major changes. With the improved warranty of 2 years or 75,000 kms the new Safari is available in an improved version in terms of safety application. Different price tag for various variants of Tata Safari indicates that a number of features have been added in the same car. Performance
As mentioned earlier, Tata Safari is available with the Tata Motors’ most popular DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) diesel engine which is well known for delivering high engine performance, and is currently powering all diesel variants of Tata Safari. These variants are equipped with high capacity engine 2.2L, 2179cc, VTT DICOR engine that produces 140PS of power at 4000rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1700-2700rpm. This engine also delivers high performance with better fuel efficiency so that the vehicle never vibrates even when driven at 130kmph.
Safety
Tata Safari comes with a lot of advanced active and passive safety features that ensure safety of both the driver as well as passengers. The active safety features that are available with Safari include Dual Front Airbags that activate in 40 milliseconds of collision, ABS with EBD that prevents the wheel from locking up in case of hard braking if you are driving on wet or slippery surfaces, Collapsible Steering Column that collapses into itself in case of full frontal impact, Front Disc Brake to stop vehicle sooner, Anti Submarine Seats prevents the passengers from sliding forward in case of emergency braking.
